Add-in for Excel
CloseCore's add-in for Excel brings CloseCore into the spreadsheet where you already do your workpapers. It connects directly to your ERP and other sources, automates data collection, adds context to your workpapers, and supports AI-assisted transaction matching, analysis, and sign-offs, all without leaving Excel.
info
The Add-in for Excel requires a CloseCore subscription that includes the add-in. If you don't have one, contact support@closecore.com or your account manager.
For IT admins: make the add-in available
Users can only install the add-in if your organization allows Office Store add-ins, or if you deploy CloseCore centrally.
- Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center → Settings → Org settings (you may need to click Show all).
- On the Services tab, open User owned apps and services. If Let users access the Office Store is enabled, you're done. If not, deploy the add-in centrally with the steps below.
- Go to Settings → Integrated apps and click Get apps.
- Search for CloseCore and click Get it now; confirm in the next dialog.
- Follow the prompts to deploy the app to a group (for example, Finance or Accounting) or to All users.
For end users: install the add-in
- First, make sure you're signed in to CloseCore with the account you want to use.
- Open an Excel workbook that lives in one of your CloseCore month-end folders.
- In Excel, click Insert → Get Add-ins, open the Store, search for CloseCore, and click Add. (Your version of Excel may open the Microsoft Store a little differently. You can also install from the Microsoft Marketplace.)
- Open the add-in and click Sign in: a browser window opens so you can authorize your Excel session. We recommend widening the add-in pane to fit the content.
- If you belong to multiple organizations with the add-in enabled, pick the one to use.
- If prompted, select the document you're working with (choose the correct month's file).
Once you're signed in and connected, see Using the Add-in for Excel.
