Google Drive
Connect Google Drive as your cloud storage so CloseCore can build and sync your monthly folder structure and read your workpapers. CloseCore reads reconciliation balance tags from Google Sheets with no extra configuration.
Connecting Google Drive
- In CloseCore, go to your storage settings (or Admin → Storage).
- Choose Google Drive and click Connect.
- Sign in with a Google account that has edit access to the folder you'll use as your Root Folder, and authorize CloseCore.
- Select your Root Folder. CloseCore will create and maintain the year/month/recurring-folder hierarchy inside it. See Setting up a workflow.
Many teams connect with a dedicated account (for example, closecore@yourdomain.com)
that has access only to the folders CloseCore manages.
Restricted folders
Google Drive is currently the only storage provider that supports restricted folders, which are useful for limiting access to sensitive areas such as payroll.
Important
Don't rename or delete the CloseCore folders directly in Google Drive, from the Root Folder down to the monthly folders. Manage folders from CloseCore instead (see Folder structure & recurring folders). CloseCore does not manage Drive sharing; you control file access in Google Drive.
