SharePoint & OneDrive

Connect SharePoint or OneDrive as your cloud storage. In many Microsoft tenants this requires a one-time IT admin step to whitelist CloseCore's applications. This page is written for Entra (Azure AD) administrators.

What you're approving​

CloseCore uses two Microsoft applications:

  • CloseCore scopes: offline_access files.readwrite.all user.read team.readbasic.all groupmember.read.all sites.read.all: redirect URI https://closecore.com/app/oauth/complete.
  • CloseCore Login scopes: user.read offline_access: redirect URI https://auth.closecore.com/microsoft/callback. (Skip this app if you use another identity provider such as Okta.)

The delegated Files.ReadWrite.All permission allows CloseCore to read, create, update, and delete any file the connecting user can access. Selecting a Root Folder in CloseCore does not narrow this Microsoft permission.

Review your user-consent policy in Entra → User settings. If it's set to Do not allow user consent, an admin must approve CloseCore's applications using the steps below. First, find your tenant ID.

  1. Approve CloseCore: visit https://login.microsoftonline.com/{YOUR-TENANT-ID}/adminconsent?client_id=608dd540-4b7c-4bab-ad11-b95c9b5d3c09 and click Accept.
  2. Approve CloseCore Login: visit https://login.microsoftonline.com/{YOUR-TENANT-ID}/adminconsent?client_id=f9af1ef8-271b-4711-966c-5223a9b72fc4 and click Accept.
  3. Confirm both CloseCore and CloseCore Login appear in your Enterprise applications list with an Activated status.
  4. Notify your CloseCore admin that the applications are approved.

During onboarding, a team member may trigger admin consent requests in your Entra admin center. You can review them under Enterprise applications → Admin consent requests. Approving a request is equivalent to the steps above.

Connecting the account​

Only one user connects the SharePoint/OneDrive access application. We recommend a dedicated integration user with access only to the SharePoint site or OneDrive that CloseCore should manage. Grant access to the dedicated integration user to whoever owns the CloseCore integration. A regular team member can also connect, but the permission covers all files they can access.

Once approved, connect from CloseCore's storage settings and select your Root Folder.
